"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05

CNN.com - Annan's son to repay duty on Mercedes - Jan 24, 2006

"Kojo Annan wants to pay back..." Let's be real here, he doesn't so much want to pay it back but if it will cover his *ss in a UN kind of way he will.

'"Kojo Annan wishes to make full payment of the amount due to the government of Ghana as a result of this transaction."' No, Kojo Annan wishes this scam had never seen the light of day and had every reason to expect it to remain on the sly as all the other business as usual things that go on at the UN. But in light of the damned intrusion by investigations into "Oil for Food," he has decided to be accountable and have his father pay for this as well.

I guess this is the end of it, justice has been served !?!?!??

Is the UN hiring?
