"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05

Arabs in US were victims of abuses, says Al Gore -DAWN - Top Stories; February 13, 2006: "The thoughtless way in which visas are now handled, that is a mistake, Mr Gore said at the Jeddah Economic Forum. The worst thing we can possibly do is to cut off the channels of friendship and mutual understanding between Saudi Arabia and the United States."

This I guess is versus the "fast track" method previously used. More on "Fast Track," here, here, and here. Info from the 911 Commission report.

Al Gore is a travesty. Can you imagine what it would be like if he had been elected in 2000? This man has revealed more about his extremist instability in the past six years than his entire eight years under Billy. That is scary.
