CNN.com - Congress extends�Patriot Act 5 weeks - Feb 2, 2006: "giving banks, libraries and Internet service providers the right to appeal when the FBI seeks financial and other records of their customers and clients."

All I can say is the appeal process better not be anything like that for convicts on deathrow. Time, in these instances certainly isn't of the essence as in the NSA wiretaps, however, readers of this or that book are not somehow going to have their door busted in because the government doesn't approve. I'm pretty sure 1984 was a book.
