"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05

CNN.com - Al-Zarqawi gains ground - Mar 16, 2006

CNN.com - Al-Zarqawi gains ground - Mar 16, 2006: "Iraq is on a knife-edge, bleeding and possibly headed to civil war, if not already there."

"And Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is tightening his grip on the handle of that knife, according to those close to the situation."

"According to those close to the situation," appears to be one Sheik Zeidan, tribal leader exiled/kicked out by the U.S.

It is somewhat disheartening that a major media player, in this day and age would base anything regardless of its being a special report or not on one individual.
