"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05

CNN.com - In first testimony,Hussein urges Iraqis to fight - Mar 15, 2006: "Saddam Hussein took the stand for the first time at his trial Wednesday and angrily called on Iraqis to unite and fight the occupying forces.
'I am Saddam Hussein al-Majid, president of Iraq and commander of armed forces,' Hussein declared, adding that God had trusted him to lead Iraq."

The sooner this guy is put to death, the sooner statements like the above from him will no longer have the affect that they probably do. So far he as made a circus of this trial.
