"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05

So Who’s Behind Those Immigration Protests?

Nicholas Von Hoffman has an opinion piece in the New York Observer that I wish to share with everyone.

Von Hoffman writes a nice piece, although being opinion it is biased. I expected him, especially with his opening to actually get to the root of what/who was behind the recent protests and illegal immigration movement. I couldn't have been further from the truth.

Von Hoffman says:

For that we have F. James Sensenbrenner, a musical-comedy Congressman from Wisconsin, to thank
It is the zealots that have created this problem. As he said earlier in his piece, radio stations, news etc. don't have the effect on people to get them up and about, then participate into something of this size or magnitude. In that he is correct, but where he blames Sensenbrenner and the silly Right-wing; he fails to mention the true culprits behind the organization.

Byron York, in a piece from the May 8th issue of National Review offers the true face of the force behind the rallies. This quoted material below are glances at placards during the Washington D.C. rally of April 10:
“We Are America.” Below those words, in smaller letters, was the name “New American Opportunity Campaign,” and below that was a web address, www.cirnow.org.
Who are they he wonders and of course, so do I. York fills in the blanks:
“Comprehensive Immigration Reform Now” (cirnow.org) — leads to a site for the New American Opportunity Campaign, which in turn leads to a request for donations to an organization called the Coalition for Comprehensive Immigration Reform. “Opportunities should be provided for undocumented immigrants currently living in the U.S. to receive work permits and travel permission and access educational opportunities once they undergo background and security checks,” says the groups’ platform. “Those who want to settle in the United States should be eligible for permanent residence and citizenship.” Both organizations list the same address: 1775 K Street NW, Suite 620, in downtown Washington.
The second of the two organizations is, "UNITE HERE or Union of Needletrades, Industrial, and Textile Employees, and the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees International Union." The two unions merged a few years ago; joining the merged union, is Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

This is all about the political power of the unions, with autoworkers unions membership flailing; these are the new powerhouses, at least they hope. So we certainly do have people marching for rights; but they are also pawns.

The Uncooperative Blogger has more on those behind the curtain with his post Who is behind the Illegal Alien Protests? Notification of its publication came at the perfect time, which if this is not perfect time, I don't know what the perfect time is.

Cross posted from The Uncooperative Blogger:

I have brought this up before in an article here and an article there, but here it is put together.

From The New American:

The major media have preferred to completely ignore the fact that the organizational brainpower and manpower for the illegal alien rallies has been provided by a network of veteran, hard-core Marxists. They are not merely liberals; they are dedicated revolutionaries, many with long ties to U.S. communist parties and communist dictatorships around the world. They are not merely a few radicals on the fringes of the demonstrations, but rather key officials who are leading the charge. One of the most openly visible Marxist-Leninist connections involves the Workers World Party (WWP), a very militant communist party that for decades has unwaveringly supported communist dictatorships throughout the world.

Top officials of the WWP dominate the ANSWER Coalition, one of the principal groups sponsoring and organizing the demonstrations. Most notable in this regard is Brian Becker, ANSWER’s national coordinator, who is also a member of the national secretariat of the WWP. Another WWP leader at ANSWER is Deidre Griswold Stapp, editor of the Workers World newspaper. Stapp was trained in Cuba in the 1960s and ’70s as a member of the Venceremos Brigades, an important adjunct of Fidel’s Tri-continental terrorist training apparatus. Still another WWP veteran in ANSWER’s leadership is Andy McInerney, a staff writer for the Workers World. WWP organizers and ANSWER’s yellow and black signs (in Spanish and English) calling for full amnesty for the millions of illegal aliens in the U.S. have been prevalent in the demonstrations from coast to coast. These WWP cadres are not mere functionaries at ANSWER, but policymakers. Likewise for another militant comrade in ANSWER’s top leadership, Macrina Cardenas, head of Mexicans Without Borders, who is one of the often-quoted spokespersons for the illegal alien demonstrations. Cardenas has aligned her organization with the communist EZLN “Zapatista Army” of Mexico and has marched in solidarity with EZLN chief “Subcommandante Marcos.” Cardenas refers to her forces as a “reserve army” within the United States.

If you are fighting for a path to citizenship for those here illegally and open borders, you are an Ally of the Communist movement. Is that something you are comfortable with being a part of? Does this make you re-think the concept? It should, because you have to ask yourself what is the motivation for these anti-American groups? Well you have to know it isn’t to promote American ideals, or capitalism. These groups, and people, exist for only one reason to bring about a communist revolution in the USA.

Whether true or not, these groups believe these illegal Aliens, if made legal, will help them create a communist USA. Just another good reason to be tough on those here illegally.

Here My Official Immigration plan:

  • Secure the border by any means necessary. This includes the Military.
  • Stiff penalties for employers, which are actually enforced.
  • No taxpayer funded programs for illegals or their families. (including school for children of illegals and non-emergency medical care for any illegal)
  • No “Anchor Babies” (no automatic citizenship for children of illegals born in the US)
  • No path to Citizenship in any name or form for those here illegally.
  • No Guest worker program until the above measures are put in place and the need can be PROVEN
  • English only education and the official language of the USA

Tough, but just, and it will work.
