"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05

McCain often hides behind words that tend to get people up in arms; this sample McCain plan for small businesses is probably a good example for the times, with Joe the Plumber on the mind

*Please note that the author cannot control where this will lead or who might be up in arms following the above details of the McCain/Palin Small Business Plan. It is only an attempt at avoiding any uproar that tends to develop as the English language is twisted following evil Conservative remarks. Also, the author in no way supports or opposes various ways “the” can be pronounced (or defined for that matter, hence the omission of “is” as one example). Pronunciation such as “thee” implies no association with any organized religion or the such.
