"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05

CIA Leak Investigation

CIA Leak Investigation

I won't waste too much time with this, but why is this all the talk, yet there is no concern about the "Posts" CIA European interrogation sites revelation or the NY Times NSA "Domestic Spying" exlusive. They feel they are just reporting what the public should know. The effect of which is to on one hand a effort to weaken a media despised chief executive and the other to inadvertantly weaken a nation in the process. They're so damn sure they know something is rotten.

Not that outing a "secret operative" is any small deal, but is it really what this case is all about? With regard to degrees, the Plame scenario as it is/was pales in comparison to the damage done to our security and nation.
