CNN.com - NSA: Amanpour, other CNNreporters not targeted for surveillance - Jan 6, 2006
The more interesting subject of the article might be based on NBCs publishing the "raw" transcript. That would be boring and unlikely to spark interest.
Falling in line using the "NSA" fascist, right-wing, "Domestic" spying program agency is much catchier and helps to further imply "story" here.
Are correspondants so self-absorbed as to believe they matter to the NSA? Paranoid!!!!
"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05
