"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05

CNN.com - Quartet: Hamas must change policy - Jan 30, 2006

Kofi Annan considered the session (attended by the U.S., Russia, the EU and UN), "very useful and constructive" and if Hamas moved from militancy to a political party, "I think the international community should be able to work with them."

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said, '"We confirm to you this income will be used to pay the salaries of (government) employees and fund daily running costs and infrastructure. You can can confirm this through a mechanism that can be agreed upon."'

I'm sure Kofi and Ismail can work together to come to a consensus as to what type of "mechanism" will work best. Perhaps a "Hate for Salaries, Running Costs and Infrastructure."

Maybe Kofi's Kid can run it.
