"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05

Handling of Mishap Creates Strain in the White House - New York Times

Handling of Mishap Creates Strain in the White House - New York Times: "To others, though, it is a telling example of the cocoon Mr. Cheney has created within the White House."

A very fact-filled article? It has the feel of an article based upon poll results.

Question: Is Cheney's "cocoon," within the "bubble" we have heard so much about? And if so, does anyone think he needs a hand out or something?

Beyond these concerns the article doesn't same much, but it fills a page...
