CNN.com - Senate blocks changes to Patriot Act deal - Mar 1, 2006

"Democrats complained that the negotiated limits would be virtually meaningless in practice." Yet they voted to "to limit debate and bring the legislation to a final vote.." Granted, 30 voted against, but that could be Republican and Democrat.

Anyway, quit putzing around and get it done; this isn't the U.N. so let's quit "nuancing" ourselves to death.
