"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05

DeMediacratic Nation: CNN.com - Kuwaiti TV: Jill Carroll's kidnappers set 'final deadline' - Feb 10, 2006

This was in reaction to the "second" final deadline set by the kidnappers of Jill Carroll. Thankfully she has been released unharmed.

What will be the reaction of everyone to her abduction now that she is on her way home? Do we look upon her abductors in a more humane way because she was not hurt?

The 20/20 view may be that this wasn't so bad after all, they were just threats and she is out now.

The group responsible was not the "Gay Blades of Righteousness," but what is in a name, it is the action that defines it all.

Don't ask what this was all about....my thoughts slipped away and I don't think they're coming back.
