"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05

2,996 Tribute to the Victims of 9/11 - Update

2,996

I've been hoping upon hopes that updates to the number of bloggers signing up for this tribute would climb much more rapidly than it has. Right, Left or Middle of the road I cannot believe of the millions of bloggers out there that there would be any people left to claim.

Unfortunately, 2,996 is only just reaching the 50% mark. Why is that? The only acceptable reason is advertising, so to speak or getting the word out.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, get curious about what that 2,996 Tribute graphic is. Cap'n Bob & the Damsel jumped on board and have added a link to sign up to their "Never Forget" graphic.

As of yesterday, DC Roe posted that "Later today some new participant will have the quaint privilege of calling themselves #1498–or the blogger that let us hit 50%." That is a bit short considering we've only got a month.
