"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05

Arizona's Offensively Politically Correct 9/11 Memorial

Wesley Bolin Park in Phoenix, Arizona contains many memorials and as of 9/11/06 it now contains a memorial to the victims of 9/11, which was begun when Governor Janet Napolitano created the “Governors September 11th Memorial Commission.”

A message from the governor is at the memorial website, which states the purpose of the Commission is:

“to build a lasting memorial on the Arizona State Capitol Mall to the victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The family, friends and fellow citizens we lost on September 11 should never be forgotten, and this memorial will help ensure that generations from now, Arizonans will continue to honor their memory.”

Additionally the letter said, “We must always remember the lives that we lost on that terrible day, as well as the strength and compassion that all Americans showed soon afterward.”

Thanks to Liberal Left Lunacy it would look as though there was some compromise in the wording chosen for the monument meant to commemorate our loss.

Rather than commemorate friends and loved ones we get:

"Fear of Foreigners" Balbir Singh Sodhi, A Sike, murdered in Mesa"

"Foreign-Born Americans Afraid"

"Must Bomb Back"

"You don't win battles of terrorism with more battles"

"1st US soldier killed by enemy fire in Afghanistan"

"Middle East violence motivates attacks in US"

"Erroneous US air strike kills 46 Uruzgan civilians'

"Avtar Singh Cheira, a Sikh, shot in Phoenix"

"Terrorist organization leader addresses American people"

The images of the wording quoted above, as well as images of all the wording on the memorial are below, unfortunately they are not in the memorial order, not that I could discern any anyway.
