"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05

Friday Sermon from Iran

Substitute Friday prayers leader of Tehran Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati was all a twitter regarding Hezbollah's successful run in with Israel and according to IRNA said:

"The performance of Lebanese Hizbollah showed that policy of resistance is victorious but policy of compromise is not."

He added that the event smashed the false tale of Israel's invincibility.

The cleric called on all Muslims to forward assistance to the Lebanese people and contribute to reconstruction of their land by Hizbollah.

So remember people...RESISTANCE is the key, do not COMPROMISE. I wonder how that works with negotiations/discussions on their peaceful nukes?

Also according to IRNA with regard to IAEA report on Iranian peaceful nukes:

Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel said Friday that the UN nuclear watchdog chief Mohammed ElBaradei's Iran report to the UN Security Council had no distinctive points.

He stressed Tehran's willingness to continue talks on its peaceful nuclear program and said that by timely responding to the P5+1 package of incentives, Iran showed its interest in continuation of talks.
Another official regarding the same report:

Iran's envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency Ali Asghar Soltanieh said on Thursday that the latest report of the IAEA Chief Mohammad ElBaradei shows Iran's cooperation with the agency.

He told IRNA that the report is the shortest report of the agency on Iran and added that it is indicative of the compliance of Iran's nuclear activities with the UN atomic body's norms and regulations.

President Ahmadinejad had some motivating remarks for the united Iran:
"The united Iranian nation would resist to fully utilize nuclear know-how and would not give up one iota of its nuclear rights."

"Enemies of the Iranian nation are against our progress and our access to modern advanced industry. They want to prevent Iran's access to nuclear technology under various pretexts."

"The IAEA charter permits all the world nations are free to generate fuel but they prevent us under the false claim that they are worried about production of nuclear weapons.

"A nation whose youth can conquer peaks of nuclear energy with empty hands can build Iran."
Elsewhere at IRNA, they say the president announced that the Iranian nation has never been aggressive:
"Iranian nation has never throughout history invaded even an acre of others' territory."
This would, I imagine exclude that which was effectively U.S. sovereign territory at the embassy in Tehran, which of course Mahmoud the silly fella is perfectly aware. It must have been less than an acre, since he wouldn't lie. It would also exclude by guerrilla proxy, no?

He wouldn't lie, no he wouldn't, it's the other guys that lie:

"The big powers are lying; they have stockpiles of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons; the US has stored thousands of nuclear warheads and tests the third and fourth generations of nuclear bombs. They are falsely claiming to be advocates of peace."
