"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05

Michelle and Mary Katharine's "The (Conservative) View"

Michelle Malkin and Mary Katharine Ham have the "Conservative View" response to Rosie and her odd equivalency.

I've never watched The View, so I don't know much about it, but what on earth (other than ratings) would be the reason you ask an entertainer to be on a show like this? Again, this could be a stupid question as I have never watched it.

We all know that not only did Rosie say what she said, but the in studio audience can be heard applauding the statement. Question: Did they really laugh of their own volition or do they have an "applause" sign in the studio there?
