"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05

CNN "Fact Checks" Obama's Gun Stance

The "Facts" (as "discovered" after some really serious digging by CNN)

"On his campaign Web site, Obama says he respects the Second Amendment right to bear arms and "will protect the rights of hunters and other law-abiding Americans to purchase, own, transport and use guns."
Read the rest of the "facts" here...

Granted, we all know that campaign ads can stretch credulity, but just how credulous is CNN that it goes to the politicians website for "facts?"

UPDATE: As there are a number of additonal "Fact articles" today with nary a one linking to Factcheck.org it would appear that once CNN has gotten you used to their writings using Factcheck and the "veracity" of it, they no longer use that source. Once they have you hooked, you might not question it anymore.
