"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05

Obama's Chicago Annenberg CHALLENGE

Stanley Kurtz has been taking on the "challenge" of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge and the msm's reluctance to actually dig into Senator Obama's "experience" or lack thereof.

While the "mainstream" pulls out the shovels big enough to dig to China (and while there taking a page from its state run media) investigating Alaska Governor Sarah Palins history, Kurtz has taken on the "challenges" the media has not felt obliged, over the past 20 months to take regarding the "good" senator from Illinois. (holy run-on Batman)

Initially gaining access to records at the Richard J. Daley Library proved quite easy; excepting that being "granted access" and "actual access" are two different things. The farce of the open records was written and published 8/18/2008 by the author here at NRO.

This mornings WSJ offers the fruits of Kurtz's labor in "Obama and Ayers Pushed Radicalism On Schools." Mr. Kurtz offered the "gist" of his Annenberg findings to the Obama campaign; his comments and the campaigns response can be found at NRO, entitled "Obama's Challenge."

If readers find either of these writings intriguing it would behoove them to visit Stanley Kurtz's archive of articles written for NRO; he has taken on some of the questions of who exactly Mr. Obama is or might be, while those of the msm have been busy scratching the tingles up their legs.
