New Videotape of bin Laden Deputy Emerges - New York Times: "Al-Zawahri, shown in the video wearing white robes and a white turban, said a Jan. 13 airstrike in the eastern village of Damadola killed ''innocents,'' and he said the United States had ignored an offer from al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden for a truce."
That's rich. Al-Zawahri was also quoted as saying "'Bush, do you know where I am? I am among the Muslim masses."' Which is how he and others operate, hence the death of the four al-Qaida leaders among 13 villagers.
He says attacks are being prepared and that Bush refused a truce "with fair conditions." Which leads us all (most I hope), wondering why he feels we would trust him and his gang of losers.
Score another for the mouthpiece of al qaida "Al-Jazeera.
"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05
