"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05

TIME.com: The Politics Behind the Blast of the 'Golden Mosque' -- Page 1

TIME.com: The Politics Behind the Blast of the 'Golden Mosque' -- Page 1: "Men dressed as Iraqi police commandos slipped into Samarra's shrine of two revered leaders of Shi'ite Islam, set up explosives and blew it up this morning, causing the golden dome to collapse and with it, perhaps, American hopes for a national unity government in Iraq."

Ssh, listen, you can almost here their palms rubbing together.

I just get the impression that Time/msm are the ones they are referring to when they say, "and with it, perhaps, American hopes for a national unity government in Iraq." Hopes that the msm will be vindicated in their predictions of failure, while totally abusing their role of telling it like it is.

Look to this post and this one info that helps balance the msm reporting.

Question: What is it with Times little corner on CNN.com and their headlines, i.e. "Who benefits from the Mosque Blast?, How much the Ports storm is costing Bush. Cost and Benefit have been the words there recently for Time. If you actually give them the time, they end up telling nothing.
