"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05

McKinney Apologizes for Cops improper contact and racial profiling.

'"There should not have been any physical contact in this incident," McKinney said in brief remarks on the House floor. "I am sorry that this misunderstanding happened at all and I regret its escalation and I apologize."'

I've got to assume for her to say the above that she is not talking about herself; technically she hit him with a cellphone. She is sorry that the bigot/racist cop misunderstood who she was and "physically" came in contact with her.

I didn't think I would be the only one with this take, check out Mr. Hewitt's words.

Previous here and here.
