"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05

Friday Sermon from Iran - April 27, 2007

Well, this week’s Friday Sermon served to gently remind all those that would try to thwart Iran’s “peaceful nuclear” enterprise was communicated by Substitute Friday prayers leader of Tehran Hojatoleslam Ahmad Khatami, of which a key thing to remember would be that:

‘"Despite all the anti-Iran resolutions, our president, while sponsoring nuclear festival, honorably showed that we have with God's grace gained remarkable progress and joined the nuclear club. The world should know that if they wish to talk with powerful Iran unconditionally, they should not violate its rights and if they want to continue bullying like the past, the talks would not be fruitful."’

Please note that a suggestion for unconditional peace in the greater Middle East was also remarked upon by the spiritual leader; which I’m sure will solve the regions problems:

‘"Instead of negotiating with the Israeli regime, the Arab states should talk to the Palestinian nation so as to garner divine consent and national popularity. Don't forget that your predecessors had had many such talks but none of them were fruitful and failed to subside the Israeli regime's mischiefs even on an small scale."’

Really makes you want them to succeed in their quest for "peaceful nukes," doesn't it? Love all around...
