"How did it come to pass that an opposition's measure of a president's foreign policy was all or nothing, success or "failure"? The answer is that the political absolutism now normal in Washington arrived at the moment--Nov. 7, 2000--that our politics subordinated even a war against terror to seizing the office of the presidency." - Daniel Henninger - WSJ 11/18/05

A “Highly Confident” Friday Sermon from Iran

James S. Robbins wrote yesterday at NRO:

“The NIE has presented Iran with a major strategic opportunity. Iran’s best move at this point is to open some form of dialogue with the United States. Promote the idea that the “grand bargain” to settle the major issues of the region is possible, play into that instinct on our side. This will serve as a useful shield against attack by third parties, because if negotiations are afoot, we will strongly discourage any other country from taking military action. Keep the talks going for as long as possible. Periodically hint at breakthroughs, settle some minor issues, feed the vanity of diplomacy. Meanwhile move out vigorously on developing a nuclear-weapons capability. When the time comes to test the weapon, foment some kind of small crisis, break off talks (though not too belligerently), conduct the test, and blame the United States for making it necessary. Then call for a new round of talks, particularly about limiting nuclear proliferation in the region. Once Tehran has the Bomb, non-proliferation will be Iran’s number one priority. At least to anyone who might fight back.”

Oddly enough in today’s Friday Sermon, Expediency Council Chairman Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani “the Swell” spoke of the U.S. intelligence community and the recent NIE regarding Iranian “peaceful” nuclear intentions.

“the West should benefit from the positive points in Iran's nuclear case. "Why are you trying to distort the report presented by your own intelligence units? Why are you trying - based on your diversionary analysis - to consider the positive move of Russia, which has acted on its duty, in delivering the first fuel consignment of Bushehr nuclear power plant as an ultimatum?" Referring to positive moves taken in Iran's nuclear case, Iran's enhanced cooperation with the IAEA and providing answers to questions of the UN nuclear watchdog, and the report of the US intelligence units have on the whole been to a large extent in favor of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

In what could be considered an “even chance,” which “almost certainly,” though if only “remotely” is a page taken from the NIE the Friday speaker said:

"The Islamic Republic of Iran is the responsible party; is not after tension and sabotage and favors peace, calm and tranquility.”

I'll agree Iran is "responsible" for this mess, but how does an extremist government achieve the favored "peace, calm and tranquility?" Nukes? After all, he didn't say when and how.

In “Rafsanjani the Swells” closing (bold mine):

"To sum up, ever since the US president started speaking of the axis of evil, Americans have suffered the most damage. Americans raise their military budget annually. Their war casualties are high and they have many physical and psychological war disabled. This has turned into a disaster for them."

That the U.S. has “suffered the most damage” and “war casualties are high” is difficult to reckon what is being used “subjectively” by the bloodthirsty man of the soiled cloth; however “WITHOUT DOUBT (my intelligence estimate) he is not using the Iran/Iraq war of the 80’s casualties of Iran at roughly 1 million as his benchmark.

The Vindication of Iran

From the National Intelligence Estimate of December 3, 2007:

What We Mean When We Say: An Explanation of Estimative Language:

We use phrases such as we judge, we assess, and we estimate—and probabilistic terms such as probably and likely—to convey analytical assessments and judgments. Such statements are not facts, proof, or knowledge. These assessments and judgments generally are based on collected information, which often is incomplete or fragmentary. Some assessments are built on previous judgments. In all cases, assessments and judgments are not intended to imply that we have “proof” that shows something to be a fact or that definitively links two items or issues.”

"We judge with high confidence that in fall 2003, Tehran halted its nuclear weapons program"

Raymond Ibrahim, author of “The Al Qaeda Reader” wrote yesterday at NRO regarding language that couches the findings in the “estimate” along with the juxtaposition of the 2005 NIE and this newest (italics mine):”

“A ‘high confidence’ judgment is not a fact or certainty, however, and such judgments still carry a risk of being wrong” — such as when NIE stated in 2005 (two years after “Tehran halted its nuclear weapons program”) that “[We] assess with high confidence that Iran currently is determined to develop nuclear weapons.”’

We’ll have to assume this year’s estimate was not based on “assessments (are) built on previous judgments.”

It would appear that “intelligence estimates” serve the purposes of many on both sides of an argument and as much as none of the individuals involved would bet their lives on the finished report we should all pass on the “take your pick” NIE and consider Raymond Ibrahim’s closer on the subject of “intelligence” and common sense:

When it comes to all things human, such as politics, “objective” science cannot always help; the irrational is, and always will be, a predominant factor in human relations that cannot be quantified and analyzed. But a little cognizance of human nature — common sense — goes a long way.

Bottom line: Yes, Iran wants to acquire nuclear weapons.”

At least Iran is making good use of the NIE.

For further consideration in what might be used as a guide in defining "common sense" give Great Satan's Girlfriend a visit and enjoy "Divine Intervention and the Date Police" (they don't just live inside of your head)

    Friday Sermon from Iran

“Finally, I note that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been invited to speak at Columbia University. Have they at last agreed to include a moderate voice in their Middle East Studies department?” - Jay Nordlinger

Tehran's substitute Friday prayers leader Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami covered the love in today in the city. As is always the case politics is religion when ruled under the guise of a “religion of peace,” especially in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Khatami quoted IAEA Director el Baradei as insisting the Iran “issue” stay with the IAEA, but of course the U.S. is causing problems:

"We tell the world that this is the best evidence showing that the US is not for resolving Iran's nuclear problem but is trying to cause tension while Iran is seeking detention."

Not surprising that both Iran and the U.S. wish to “resolve” the issue; just with different results.

The Friday Prayer Leader also railed on the French Foreign Ministers recent remarks last weekend, which of course everyone took out of proportion as it was not spoken in diplomatese:

"This is not the first mistake by these French political nouveau rich. Recently, the French president named Lebanese Hizbollah a terrorist group and later had to retract his irrelevant remarks.”

Imagine doing the prophets’ (PBUH) work and being labeled a terrorist organization for it? Wow; the nerve.

Regarding a Palestinian Peace conference to be held in the U.S., the great “substitute” leader said it was doomed to failure; why?:

"This kind of conference is not going to solve the Palestinian problem rather it wants to save the Israelis. Such a connection has nothing for you but abjectness. Israel is a fake, wild and usurping regime whose tyranny is unparalleled in history."

Oddly, the U.S. had an issue with the Islamic Republic of Iran possessing “peaceful” nukes…bizarre. Well, maybe not; Columbia prefers an Ahmadinejad to the ROTC or Minutemen founder.

Friday Sermon from Iran and New York

A moment of silence? At least from Tehran that is how it would appear; in NY however, the Mullahs Supreme Allegiance Branch West, otherwise known as the NY Times Editorial Board is in its usual frothing at the mouth form.

Tehran is quiet from a reporting point of view, which is unusual for a government controlled mouthpiece often overflowing with the propaganda rhetoric of the weeks Friday Prayer Leader. We’ll have to wait and see what next Friday brings to judge whether this lack will become the standard; perhaps their own words are coming back to bite them as they work to hide their faces of evil.

But no sooner does someone finish writing a paragraph and the floodgates are loosed; from Tehran, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei led the congregation with:

"Alert and wise Iranian nation, relying on strong faith and resistance, made US project of weakening Islamic Revolution face defeat. The Iranian nation would continue paving the same proud and glorious path, and a time will come when no power would dare to threaten this nation, even in his mind."

The religio-politico leader also defined US plans following 9/11 by adding:

"The Americans had a multi-dimensional project, aimed at shaping up a pro-Zionist Middle East, but faced defeat at all layers of that project."

Sometimes too much love can be harmful, but if you so choose visit the Motormouth Mullah for more of his positive message.

Mullahs West for its part continued the assault to strengthen the imagined belief that President Bush is the real enemy in this war and offered the fruits of wisdom with its summation of the week:

“This was the week in which Americans hoped they would get straight talk and clear thinking on Iraq. What they got was two exhausting days of Congressional testimony by the American military commander, hours of news conferences and interviews, clouds of cut-to-order statistics and a speech from the Oval Office — and none of it either straight or clear.”

It is a shame that in its role as the arbiter of truth the toilet paper believes “Americans” are so easily exhausted by an entire two days of information. Perhaps, as is obvious it is The behind the Times that has issues with the clarity and direction it expected from the testimony and “hours of news conferences and interviews.” When the only thing that would please Mullahs West is what they want to hear, anything short of that is just more smoke, mirrors and clouds.

Beyond the repetition complaining about repetition and various assertive, yet naïve strategies the board did at the least not bash General Petraeus. This was likely due to the lack of this necessity with the discounted full page ad given to the MoveOn group.

Beyond the redun, redundant, redundant and repetitive moaning and alternate propaganda with “cherry picked” remarks and misinformation, Mullahs West did offer up a very revealing sentence that suggests how wrong they really are. In hoping “Mr. Bush would drop the meaningless talk of victory” and the “fiction that the war keeps” Americans safe from terrorism; they offered “credit” to the general for not adopting “that bit of propaganda.”

So used to supporting those in the General Officers club that agree with their perspective, that when a general rightly chooses not to play a role in the larger political snafu; a role mind you that is not the generals to play, that they give him “credit” for doing something he shouldn’t be doing anyway.

All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely politicians…

Imam Mahdi – May God Hasten His Appearance; A Friday Sermon of Al Qaeda/Taliban/US Alliance

Provisional Friday Prayer Leader of Tehran Ayatollah Mohammad Kashani sermonizing before a standing room only congregation said:

"US administration is propagating a certain version of Christianity that is not based on Jesus Christ (PBUH) teachings, but after securing Zionists' interests.

Based on this mentality, the Jews must gather in Palestine and then in the course of a revolution two thirds of them to get killed, and the remainder should see the reappearance of Jesus (PBUH).

Therefore, they are after gathering the entire Jews of the world in Palestine, which is definitely a move with political and Satanic roots, but the idea is put forth in the framework of an idea behind the hope for reappearance of Messiah. US President George W. Bush is the standard bearer of that mentality. That man is loathed to an extent in the United States today that the mentality he supports, too, has very limited number of supporters."

They have Satanic interactions with the Zionists, but such a mentality has extremely weakened in the Western world today.”

So, the U.S. led by George Bush is against peace, also the nation as a whole:

“They are well aware that the governing political system in the Islamic Republic of Iran is after establishment of peace and justice in the world, and that Iran is today a divine world power.”

Now we can understand just why the Islamic Republic is so dead set against the U.S. and Western world in general. This is all well and good and if we’re really, really lucky they’ll be victorious and save us from ourselves as, “the people in the United States and Europe are living wretched lives today.”

    The Prayer Leader regrets:

“that family foundation has no real meaning in their societies; philanthropy, faithfulness, friendly relations, love, living with one another, and caring for spiritual matters have no place in Western societies.”

In part, the leader is mistaken, especially the “love” part as recent news has revealed to us here in the U.S.anonymous love” that takes place daily in public restrooms across the nation.

"There is no doubt that justice would finally prevail through the channel of faith, and both God's blessings and His wrath, too, would be distributed through the same path."

The Ayatollah quoted “a saying from Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) advising Christians what to do to rid themselves of the problems with which they would be entangled at the end of the world.”

This helps shed a little light upon the interest in “peaceful nukes,” which seems to point to a hastening of the “end of the world,” so that we may know peace; I knew they had our better interests in mind with this cockamamie “peaceful nukes,” thing.

Also of newsworthy note is the fact that, according to Iranian Majlis deputy National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Kazem Jalali:

"US President George W Bush and American neoconservatives make utmost use of al-Qaeda and Taliban acts, Main crimes by al-Qaeda in the world are in line with interests of the US extremists. The MP noted that news reveal that the US works with Taliban and has confidential talks with al-Qaeda. In its terrorist acts, al-Qaeda takes interests of the US and the Zionist regime into consideration. Bush has always strived to cause obstruction and raise accusations against others and Iran in particular. This is while the world's public opinion know that al-Qaeda is led by Washington."

Elsewhere, while addressing the Security Council, Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mansour Sadeghi said of Hamas:

"Hamas has came to power through an election which the whole international community recognized as fair, free and democratic.

It is therefore high time for the international community to urgently weigh in to counter the Israeli regime's inhumane policies and practices in imposing humanitarian disasters on the defenseless Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and elsewhere in the Palestinian territories."

Who knows, it's all very confusing. Perhaps this is just some of that panicked, backs up against the wall pressure that VDH theorizes they may beginning to react to.

Friday Sermon from Iran: Iran Protects the Gulf

"Thanks God, we are now at a point in which no one can deprive us of our nuclear technology" - Tehran's substitute Friday prayers leader Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati
Scattered clouds and temps in the low 90's welcomed worshipers today in Tehran as Tehran's substitute Friday prayers leader Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati praised the Ahmadinejad Administration actions in the past two years and the necessity of hanging tough against the evil hegemonic Great Satan.

The headline "Major Cleric Strongly Supports President Ahmadinejads Government," is amusing in the sense that if this cleric and others didn't support the government of Ahmadinejad it would no longer be his, not that it really is his to begin with.

"If a government is weak, it resorts to flattery, courtesy and respect and even if it is against something, it doesn't dare to announce its opposition, but a strong government announces its opposition frankly."

"The grandeur of this government has been established now everywhere and the world has known about its stability." Stressing that all the threats and sanctions by the hegemonic powers have been futile, Ayatollah Jannati said they thought that they could reach their objectives by employing the language of force and they used this language in the negotiations but "we never retracted from our positions."

In other news, it is becoming more and more apparent that it may be safe to leave Iraq as Defense Minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar said:

"The Islamic Republic of Iran strongly protects security of the Persian Gulf region. The powerful and vigilant armed forces of Iran are determined to seriously deal with any threat at this strategic waterway."
The gig is up as the Islamic Republic knows what the U.S. is up to:

"The US is now trying to take advantage of regional conflicts to achieve its goals. By resorting to a policy of intimidation, the US wants to find a way out of the quagmire and continue its illegal presence in the region."

How might this tie in with Jannati's "but a strong government announces its opposition frankly," comments from the Sermon today?

    Friday Sermon from Iran

“Foreigners want to push Muslim Umma into a degrading position and get them engaged in internal strife.” - Tehran's substitute Friday prayers leader Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani

The bizarre practice of Friday prayers in Tehran continues and as usual if you are looking for what many think of in terms of a religious service, you won’t be finding it here.

Tehran's substitute Friday prayers leader Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani had the usual rants about the U.S., Zionists and in addition nations in the region that are currently allies of the U.S. purchasing arms.

Kashani used KosProse paranoia/propaganda when referring to the sale(s) to “save its arms manufacturing companies from bankruptcy and get money out of Muslims' pocket and put it in Israel's instead. So we have yet another instance of Iran taking a page from the internal enemies of our country.

"The world of Islam should remain cohesive and united despite all the ongoing conspiracies so that Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan and other Muslim states are freed,"

"If the US allies in the region are wise enough they should know that the Islamic Republic of Iran is not a threat and has instead been supporting any Muslim in every corner of the world. The Islamic Republic of Iran is not after arms and whole the world knows the fact well that western claims on Iran's peaceful nuclear program are false."

Of course Iran just wouldn’t be Iran if only their “peaceful” religious leaders were the only ones badmouthing Israel. In response to Israel requesting the U.N. condemn Iran for violating human rights, Mohammad Khazaei said:

“The Zionist regime's useless attempts to raise human rights charges against Iran is just a futile effort aimed at diverting attention from its own scandalous human rights record.”

Lastly and just for fun, there is a smell in the air over Iran; “addressing a ceremony to celebrate graduation of a number of officers… Number of officers????

    Friday Sermon From Iran

Nothing but tough love from Tehran's substitute Friday prayers leader Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati this morning. Speaking to the congregation of recent talks with the U.S. he said:

Iran is ready to do whatever the Iraqi people and government demand to provide Iraq with security. In the talks, we tried to make the Americans understand their mistakes in Iraq. The Americans were frankly reminded about their mistakes in Iraq and they were asked why they were still lingering in an Islamic country which has an elected government."

“There is a collection of hooligans in Iraq now. If the Americans and the British were not in Iraq, the government in Baghdad could deal with these terrorists and mischief-makers."

"The more the occupiers remain in Iraq, the more loss they would inflict on themselves. They are getting more and more hated by the world people and they would eventually have to withdraw from Iraq with shame.”

The minister of love also made note of the anniversary of the “33-day war” between “Lebanese Hezbollah” and the “Zionist regime,” and said:

"The victory was not only for Hezbollah but also for Islam and the Muslims. The Lebanese are for a government which would not be a puppet regime and do not let the dirty Zionists bully them."

"Hamas in Palestine, Hezbollah in Lebanon and Islamic government in Iraq are also the winners."

Praise Allah, Mohammed (PBUH) and all that rot.

    Friday Sermon from Iran

Provisional Friday Prayer Leader of Tehran Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Khatami led the congregation with his usual flair and aplomb; speaking of the recent televised confessions of American-Iranian “spies”:

‘"This policy has worked in some countries, but in Iran, it has faced defeat, just like the other failed US policies on Iran."’

Khatami’s statement fits perfectly in line with the propaganda of the regime and mullahs, which is according to Amir Taheri in today’s NY Post, “The Conspiracy That Wasn’t.” The use of these hostages is for the fodder they can make of them and the United States and msm should be screaming up a storm about it.

The use of the propaganda unfolds to include statements such as:

‘"During the past fifty years the United States has directly or indirectly interfered in the internal affairs of 25 countries of the world militarily, and the funny thing is that Washington also claims it is after the establishment of democracy throughout the world."’

Khatami, member in good standing of the Leadership Experts Assembly also highlighted Iran's role in preserving stability and security in the Middle East region, and added:

"Iran's policies regarding Iraq have always been aimed at promoting security measures there and serving the oppressed Iraqi nation, and yet the United States has always, resorting to fake pretexts, been accusing Iran of interference in Iraq's affairs."

“The US policy in Iraq today is aimed at bringing the Ba'th Party back to power, and fueling the flames of tribal and sectarian wars there."

This, as well as every Friday Sermon would be very amusing were it not so alarming – These are the people we would negotiate away from their “peaceful nukes?”

Oddly, on that very subject a joint communiqué stated that:

Iran's nuclear issue should be solved through dimplomatic channels and negotiations with no strings attached.”

It also stressed and warned of the “danger of the Zionist regime’s nuclear arsenal for the region and called for immediate action by international bodies to foil this threat.”

Condemning “the continued aggressive and oppressive acts of the Zionist regime” it also “underscored the rights of the Syrian people to restore occupied Golan Heights up to the June 1967 borderline.”

Obviously the various “injustices” are part of the pathetic nature of the backward region, where defeat followed by their attacks and instigation are used as pity party talking points. Unfortunately, the pity parties consist of continued death and mayhem.

Futher proof the “peaceful” intentions were underlined in the statement with:

Iran and Syria in their joint statement invited the Palestinian groups to dialogue and keeping national unity and supported the rights of the Palestinian nation for the return of the refugees to their motherland and establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Ghods city designated as its capital.”

Additional proofs of “peaceful” intentions were noted earlier this week with the following news:

an adviser to the Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei, claimed Iranian ownership of the Gulf Arab state of Bahrain stating:

"The public demand in Bahrain is the reunification of this province with its motherland, the Islamic Iran."

As well is the announcement of the inclusion of Syria under the Iranian missile umbrella aimed at 600 targets in Israel threatened as retaliation if Iran is attacked.

These are the people we would negotiate away from their “peaceful nukes?” Nice

Friday Sermon from Iran; Iran Ready to Talk

This Friday Sermon from Iran is much shorter than usual; the reasoning for this is twofold. One, you can click the link and read the ludicrousness for yourselves and two, who cares; it’s the same garbage spouted 24/7 from Tehran.

Of the most interest is the warning and imparting of wisdom from Provisional Friday Prayer Leader of Tehran Hojjatoleslam Ahmad Khatami when he said:

“Passing a chain of resolutions against Iran is not going to solve any problem. The only solution to that problem is through negotiations, since logical and rational talks always yield fruit."

Ah, yes the “logical and rational” mind of the mullahs, leadership of the tehrrorists of Tehran. Note that resolutions is not the answer as they will get you nothing, oddly though the only yield from “talks” is more time for Iran to continue with its peaceful nuclear development.

In order to grasp rational logic one must accept that neither option bears any fruit, just like Iran bears no peace only the offer misery.

The peaceful pastor also gave warning to the U.S.’ President in reaction to his saying all options, including military are on the table with:

"The US president had also better know that the Iranian nation, too, has all options, including a big fist on the mouth, on the table for countering America severely."

Wonderful, peace be unto you but consider that while all you can muster is a “big fist on the mouth,” the U.S. could and should cut off Tehran’s communications, what little oil production and refining capacity it has, all electrical and anything else of the paltry offerings of a positive nature the Islamic Republic allows from within its borders. One on the U.S. side could say, remember how Saddam and his punks were cut-off and down? From Tehran the expected response might be, yes and look at how you have been mired in Iraq and elsewhere? At this point in these talks it might be fun to point out much like Iraq Iran would be once it has been turned upside down worse than it. Tehran could then enjoy its own quagmire within its own borders as it attempts to continue all its Middle Eastern proxies.

The situation being tough for the U.S. does not mean it would be easy for Iran; although the media wouldn’t portray it accurately like that though.

Watch your mouth and what you wish for little man. As much of a pushover the U.S. can be civility-wise, you might push just a wee bit too much sometime soon. You could then moan and whine about how much it is the U.S.’ fault, but you will know better.

On the bright side however, Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali “Larry” Larijani said:

Iran is ready for talks as a means for return of peace and tranquility to the region.”

Again it is very interesting and revealing that Iran is always ready to talk and repeats this as often is humanly possible; all the better to point later to the fact that Iran said, ‘it’s ready to talk.” The only problem with this is talk is what diplomats love as that’s what they’re paid to do and Iran knows the talk codeword will make those same diplomats fall all over themselves; thereby giving Iran oddly more time to continue with its peaceful nuclear development.

Iran wishes to talk overtly, whilst it sews murder, destruction and mayhem on civilians in the region of the world they claimed to be the purveyors of peace for. Lebanon, Palestine, Israel, Iraq, Afghanistan, Hamas, Hezbollah and all the rest of the covert peaceful initiates that Iran embarks on.

By all means, talk that way Iran can continue its course of action. Eventually there may be peace once enough people have been killed and all submit to Iran and its dreams of Islamic hegemony over the entire planet.

Friday Sermon from Iran: Demise, Nuclear Peace and Israel

Speaking in an encore presentation to last Fridays Sermon from Iran, Provisional Friday Prayer Leader of Tehran Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani said the direction of the nation under the leadership of the Supreme Leader is keeping within the guidelines as expressed by the late Imam Rouhollah oussavi Khomeini.

During the Friday Sermon, one of an seemingly endless parade of ceremonies marking the “18th Demise Anniversary of Khomeini;” he said:

“in revival of Mohamedan Islam in the world, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution is emphasizing on the need to abide by the authentic version of Islam, particularly the teaching of the glorious Quran and the Tradition of the Holy Prophet of Islam in a bid to strengthen the foundations of Islamic unity."

This is the continuing refrain these days, which refers to Iran as the leader in unifying all of Islam in the world. The Friday Prayer leader also spoke of the U.S’ intent regarding Iranian nuclear capabilities is “against Islam and its present day Umm-ul-Qura (motherland).”

The issue of the missile shield that has Russia’s Putin in a tizzy was addressed and in the words of Kashani; ‘"The Americans' real intention is military arrangement against the Russians and the Chinese."’

The effort to stoke further difficulties between the U.S., Russia and China in this blogs mind is further proof of the lies behind the peace the Tehran tehrrorists always talk about.

    NUKES FOR PEACE

One should wonder when the Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel speaks out saying:

‘"Due to silence of international circles and support of certain foreign powers during years of occupation, the Zionist regime has adopted measures to change population structure of the city of divine religions and cradle of peace.”’

‘"It has resorted to racism and expansionist policies including expulsion of Palestinian people and construction of Jewish settlements and the separation wall. The regime has posed serious danger to everyday life of the Palestinians.”’

With these charges “he called on his Islamic counterparts to take a coordinated and serious measure in this regard. An end to the occupation of the holy land must take place.

    NUCLEAR NEGOTIATIONS

Upon arrival at Tehran Mehrabad International Airport, Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Secretary Ali Larijani spoke to reporters of the “precise steps” that need to be taken to “prevent adoption of a new resolution” by the UN Security Council.

Terming his recent negotiations with the EU as “acceptable,” adding ‘"we had numerous issues with the agency which were settled gradually. Minor issues still remain.”’

Obviously minor issues can be thorns to those that don’t wish to give, but only get what they want. In the words of Larijani:

‘"These minor issues have remained because of the IAEA's political behavior. In fact, the agency has discredited itself by sending Iran's nuclear dossier to the UN Security Council."’

So one of the “minor issues” is the IAEA doing its job, if only begrudgingly. The twists of the Iranian “logic” continue to amaze and should continue as an obvious danger to those that wish to pay it a little notice.
