"If I had been president in October 2002, I would not have started this war." - Hillary Clinton, Feb. 2, 2007, Iowa
The Conservative world was up in arms this past Friday due to Hillary Clinton stating the quote above. The mantra has been that she is lying, especially when previous statements are listened to. Unfortunately for those that oppose her, this is not a lie on her part.
To paraphrase: If she had been president at that time, she would not have started the war in October 2002.
Let's not forget that we are talking about a Clinton; if only a Clinton by law.

Democratic Leadership Prepares Limits to Free Speech
I found this post at Right Truth, incredibly disturbing. San Fran Nan is just a Grandmother huh? The Democrats slowly let the American people in on their plans......
From Right Truth, "Nancy Pelosi to undermine free speech":
For the rest of the post get over to Right Truth.....It seems that the Nancy Pelosi plans to 'ram through a new law that would seriously undermine free speech – and put restrictions on conservative groups and others who encourage ordinary citizens to directly deal with Congress.' (hat tip Mind of Mog who says, "Oh gee, just what I wanted… that shrew Pelosi to curb my free speech.")
Will Pelosi's plot apply to bloggers?
“The . . . plan is perhaps the most comprehensive regulation of political speech ever proposed, and would make small grassroots causes report quarterly to Congress — the same as K Street lobbyists representing wealthy interests before Congress,’ Viguerie says.“The reporting requirements and more severe penalties being written in response to recent congressional corruption scandals would apply to those who have no Washington lobbyists, who make no political contributions, and who do not provide gifts, travel or anything of value to politicians,” Viguerie continues.

Bush Personally Opening Mail!!! Wins Someone elses Publishers Clearing House Prize!
The twists and turns of the Left, led by none other than Kos, find the recent revelation regarding President Bush's signing statement to the "Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act;" which allow for warrantless searches/reading of mail.
Kos and his ilk find this to be yet another extra-Constitutional move on the administrations part:
"Every day the next two years will be a "Constitutional crisis" given we have a president who doesn't give a damn about the Constitution."
The Presidents signing statement allowed for, as an exception that "provides for opening of an item of a class of mail otherwise sealed against inspection in a manner consistent ... with the need to conduct searches in exigent circumstances."
What if concerns are great, but politicians and the ludicrous would rather prevent anything of a productive nature, as it always revolves around the fact that experts have said:
"the new powers could be easily abused and used to vacuum up large amounts of mail."
As I said, "possible abuse" is nothing to snort at, but I think it's about time that we seriously considered opening our eyes to the world rather than rely upon the eyes of the media and other news makers.
In closing, Kos says what I find to be an example of his and their twisted existence:
"Of course, it's the modern Republican Party at work -- big government, intrusive, dismissive of personal liberties. It's the nanny state on steroids. I suppose we shouldn't expect any less."The parties in this country (any country for that matter) are an interesting species. I would be lying if I said the Republican party was not a little bit screwed up in the Conservative sense. But "big government, intrusive, dismissive of personal liberties. It's the nanny state on steroids..." is a description of the Democratic party and they haven't changed, at least for the better.
Why take anything they say seriously; it's all made up in their minds.
